In October 2021, ASICS partnered with the Los Angeles-based creative collective Brain Dead to release a distinctive iteration of the Trabuco Max trail running shoe, dubbed the "Chaos Slime." This collaboration showcased Brain Dead's signature avant-garde aesthetic, featuring a black ripstop mesh upper adorned with a maze-like 3D-printed overlay. The design was further accentuated by deep red tiger stripe branding and neon green accents, including the rope laces and outsole pattern. Functionally, the shoe was equipped with ASICS' FLYTEFOAM cushioning and GUIDESOLE technology, offering a blend of comfort and performance suitable for both urban environments and rugged trails.
